In 2016, with the release of macOS 10.12 Sierra, the name was changed from OS X to macOS to align it with the branding of Apple's other primary operating systems: iOS, watchOS, and tvOS.[45] macOS Sierra added Siri, iCloud Drive, picture-in-picture support, a Night Shift mode that switches the display to warmer colors at night, and two Continuity features: Universal Clipboard, which syncs a user's clipboard across their Apple devices, and Auto Unlock, which can unlock a user's Mac with their Apple Watch. macOS Sierra also adds support for the Apple File System (APFS), Apple's successor to the dated HFS+ file system.[46][47][48] macOS 10.13 High Sierra, released in 2017, included performance improvements, Metal 2 and HEVC support, and made APFS the default file system for SSD boot drives.[49]

macOS 10.13 High Sierra was released to the public on September 25, 2017.[228] Like OS X El Capitan and OS X Mountain Lion, High Sierra is a refinement-based update having very few new features visible to the user, including updates to Safari, Photos, and Mail, among other changes.[229]
Thanks for your information. I tried it but so far is still stuck during reinstall of macOS high sierra. This is quite frustrating given that my macbook pro is just this year 2017. Will be contacting apple support for the third time.
Sorry for that had happened to you multiple times and 2017 mbp is not a good product indeed. Unfortunately, there is only authorized retailers in my city and I believe they are unable to decide whether to refund or reimburse me. I have to go to the only Apple store in the country which is four hours away by driving to determine this is the deficiency of their product or I should have to pay for the repair. Wish me good luck and I will keep updating!
I also have this problem - both the sticky keyboard/trackpad, glitching display which turned into the horizontal blue, green and pink lines (Macbook pro 2017) Looking at replacing the LCD & connection cables but maybe looking for a windows laptop or a 2019 macbook is better?
Facing exactly the same problem!Mine is MacBook Pro 2017, went to iCare and they are charging me around $700 dollars to change the display apparently! I'm so angry because it just started malfunctioning on its own, and has happened not because of any fault of mine, I'd taken good care of my MacBook Pro and yet I have to pay $700 dollars for a display that comes only with 90 days warranty. What if it fails again? I don't trust their display anymore. Decided to sell it instead and buy a Windows system because I'm scared the display will fail again, and after going through forums, it seems like a recurring problem.
I have problem also with my MBP 13 2017 Touch Bar, after 1 hour the screen will flickring and dark. I have to close the lid before the picture will appear again. Now it getting worst, It only stands for 30 minutes or less, it is very annoying when it appear while I am teaching by virtual. I always take car my MacBook carefully. I use case for it, also use Capdase Sleeve. I have this problem after 2 years using it, I've asked to Apple Authorised Stored and they charged me about $350 for screen replacement. I am very dissapointed.
Mine is MacBook Pro 2017 with Touch Bar. The screen works fine initially, but after about an hour or so or usage (esp. if using graphic card heavy applications like YouTube or zoom ), the screen starts showing flickering horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen. It then gradually worsens to complete shaking of the screen. If at this time I put computer to sleep and close the lid for 5-10min, and open again, it will be back to normal, but again after some use it will show the same issue. Not sure if this has anything to do with the cable or heating issue.
a few days ago I saw a video on youtube about this problem, where they said that the fault is due to the fact that the 2016-2017 model had a 3 cm long display flat cable and in the 2018 version it was lengthened by a further 2 mm. but do you think it is possible to replace a 2017 display with a 2018 display or are the connectors completely different? 041b061a72
